| Bunkers are found all over Albania. These bunkers were built between 1950 and 1985, they weigh over 5 tonnes and can apparently can withstand an attack from a tank. Wars being over now, they now house more animals and hay, or the occasional shop than anything else. |

| Ya, you'ld think we would happy to be at the beach but the garbage was absolutely revolting! We met some really nice people here, and had a great seafood dinner with them. |
Albania, possibly we didn't give it much of a chance but we really don't have too much good to say about it. Maybe we missed something and if we did we are sorry but we saw crazy drivers, an unbelievable amount of garbage, and "rumour has it" that it is the hub for drugs and other illegal activities. We have never seen so many Mercedes Benz vehicles(supposably another illegal import) or so many cafe/bar/hotels on the road. I hate to leave this on that note but...

ReplyDeleteI'm back in Kosovo and Jasmyn went home today. We had a great Balkan trip. Didn't like albanie, we were only in Tirana and stayed for only one night. But yes garbage everywere and bad driving, but i was used to that because in Kosovo most are albanien. We did like montenegro and visited most of the places there including the north. Landscape is wonderfull and some great views.
Have a nice trip to where ever you going.
